Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient massage, dating back over 2500 years. Often referred to as the “lazy person’s yoga”, this fully clothed bodywork session is performed on a comfortable floor mat and is suitable for most idividuals regardless of age, flexibility, or experience with stretching.
Traditional Thai Massage works along specific energetic pathways known as Sen Lines, which parallel many of the body’s fascial and muscular patterns. Through intentional muscle compressions, accupressure along sen channel, and passive stretches, this session can support improved mobility, reduced muscular tension, enhanced circulation, and a greater sense of physical and energetic balance.
A defining element of Thai Massage is its meditative rhythm, gentle rocking & tractioning techniques, which help calm the nervous system while encouraging the body to release deeply held tension. Sessions are always adaptive to the client’s comfort level, mobility, and individual needs at the time of treatment.
Advanced Thai Massage Practitioners may incorporate a variety of techniques using their hands, forearms, elbows, feet, knees, and traditional Thai tools to create a dynamic and personalized therapeutic experience.
