Tok Sen Therapy

Tok Sen is an ancient Thai healing art, meaning “tapping lines” dates back around 5000+ years old. It involves a set of wooden tools, including a hammer and many different chisel options. Each is chosen based on what seems fitting to the therapist after assessing the physical block, tension, or trigger point. These tools are used to enhance the therapy session. This holistic method is used to treat sore muscles, fascial restrictions, joint pain, pinched nerves, stiffness and disease associated with specific sen lines.

Most all Eastern modalities of healing follow a group of lines or channels, each associated with specific functions and dysfunctions of the body. Sen Lines are the structural foundation for Thai Medicine. They are a map of energy channels followed by Thai Practitioners who are trained to assess, locate and release blocks that over time can create disease, discomfort, lack of mobility, and imbalances in the body, mind and/or spirit.

This set of tools is often used in our sessions for efficacy and efficiency. Therapists are trained in this modality and may choose to use this to enhance the therapy session and will ask for consent before doing so. You may also request this in your session if you would like to experience the effects of the tools for yourself.
